Ryan Ruegg Signature Deck

Posted on noviembre 05 2020

We caught up with our boy Ryan Ruegg to get some more info on his new signature deck that just dropped, his inspirations, how he chose the colourway and the meaning behind his graphics: What’s good Ryan? What have you been up to as of recent? Anything new and exciting? yerrr so recently ive been on a few different filming trips i was in new york for almost two weeks in late august/september filming for jattic with ant and other homies. then i flew to chicago for two weeks to film with outset for a new tem vid dakotas putting together and came home to mark williams parrish and ezra coming to stay with me for 3 weeks so its been pretty busy lately but weve been getting it done. Taking a look at this new catalog here, it looks like you’ve landed yourself a new signature Horizon deck and in my opinion is it ever a nice one. How are you feeling about getting a second iteration of your signature deck? Thanks g im stoked on the deck. really hyped to get the chance to have another graphic out. Although they are both Horizon’s, it looks like you stuck with having the weirdest possible dimensions again? What’s up with that? Big fan of the 5.69? You’ve got one coming in at 21.7 long and the other at 22.5, How’d you decide on those numbers? I like the feel of the just below 6 wide because certain things get to be too easy when you have a wider deck. we'll see how the length goes i lowkey wanted 22.7 but its chill ;p Another big change i’m seeing is the colour combo you’ve got going on in this one. Upon my first impression, I love the look of the Matte Cedar colour, is this another nod to Forest? How’d you come to choose this final colourway? Yea the "cedar" color is a nod to the spot i grew up at. next to cedar lake. I don’t know for certain if you were the first to do it, but I see you’ve stuck with the top graphic option again which I honestly don’t know why people weren’t doing sooner? How did you originally decide on this innovative option, and how did you decide on the final graphic we see on this second signature deck? I just always was bummed on getting a sick graphic on a deck and having it be gone after one sesh. so with the top you at least have the option to work it in somehow. Any other shoutouts you wanted to make while we’re here? shoutout all the forest boys and all my norf gang
